The Felmersham & Radwell Parish Plan - 2006
Immediate results from the plan process

As a result of the consultation process, the Women’s Institute and Felmersham & Radwell Community Care started a monthly Thursday Club for Senior Citizens. The club has met regularly and has an average of 20 people attending. The Women’s Institute also agreed to part-fund Christmas lights on a tree on Felmersham village green. In response to the questionnaire, about 600 positive indications were made that respondents attended existing activities or would be interested in participating in new “clubs” in the Parish. For example 69 respondents wanted to see a rambling club established.

This interest will be followed up separately to the resolution of the specific issues raised in the Plan. In response to the questionnaire, a series of suggestions for a lasting memorial to the memory of Margaret Alleway, a local benefactor, has been forwarded to the Felmersham & Radwell Community Trust for consideration.
Three people expressed an interest in joining the Village Hall Committee and 2 have actually done so.

What happens next

Following publication and adoption of the Parish Plan by Felmersham & Radwell Parish Council, action groups will be set up to implement and, where necessary, try to obtain funding for the proposals. Each action group will have at least one Parish Councillor among its members. The Steering Group will meet quarterly to review the progress made by the action groups. A very encouraging number of parishioners (32) indicated on their returned questionnaires that they wished to be involved in this further stage.
