Remembrance 2017

Connie Rust's Wedding 8th November 1947

In the year when the Queen married the Duke of Edinburgh, Connie Rust married Arthur Leeson from Ottawa, Canada. Sadly, they are no longer alive to celebrate their platinum anniversary.

Most parishioners were surprised to find about 2 inches of snow when waking up in the morning of Sunday 10th December 2017. Snow had been forecast but not
this far South.

The "Open Style" telephone phone kiosk in Grange Road, Felmersham has gone. Unlike its predecessor, the red telephone box (K series), it will not be missed.

During the afternoon of Saturday 10th February 2018, 50 people attended a report meeting in the Committee Room to view the results of the Neighbourhood Plan Questionnaire.

On Saturday 28 April 2018 Lucy Sarah Wells and Jonathan Peter Ascroft
were married at St Marys Church, Felmersham by Fr Reuben Preston.

A Digital Scalextric track set up at The Sun Public House, Felmersham for leisure and competitive racing over some Bank Holiday weekends.

The Jubilee Lawn, Felmersham is an ideal spot for painting the church, river and bridge in the spring sunshine.

As part of the celebration of the building of Felmersham Bridge 200 years ago a Photographic Competition is being held.
The photo should be of the bridge or part of the bridge or a photo which includes the bridge. It can be a formal photo of the bridge or one which shows wildlife or people enjoying the river environment etc. The only requirement is, the photograph must include the bridge or part of it.
Entries will be judged at the Autumn Show on Sunday 9th September and should be submitted in accordance with the rules of the show. So why not get out there with your cameras and have a go. Don't leave it to the last minute!!
