Chairman's Message - January 2008
At the recent AGM of the club there were a
number of significant changes to the officers of the club.
Firstly Mike Wagstaff after three years of
great leadership as the new club was founded has decided to step
down from the chair. I am sure you will all join me in thanking
Mike for the tremendous contribution he has made to the club not
only in this last period but for many years before as well. We
know that he will continue to play a key role going forward and am
looking forward to continuing to hear his thoughts and
observations but now from the boundary rope. |

Secondly Damien Dunlop has decided to step down from the position of
Club Captain and Saturday Captain. Again we are indebted to Damien over
this last period. Not only has he carried at times the bowling and
batting on the pitch but has made by far the biggest contribution to all
the arrangements on the players’ side of the club. I would also
therefore offer our thanks to Damien. We are very much hoping that even
if not captain those fiery deliveries and graceful cover drives will
still be seen on our pitch next season.
The final particular mention I would like to
mention is to congratulate David Cook on his election as
President-Elect. David and his family have had a very long association
with the Felmersham part of the club and I look forward to working with
David in the future.
