Brownie News

During the Spring Term Brownies have painted cups and saucers as part of the Tea in Beds badge. The cups and saucers (photograph 1) were displayed at a Division event in February and Charlotte won first prize in the Brownie category (photograph 2). The prize was a dressed teddy.

Mother's Day cards were also made by the Brownies together with a painted wooden basket containing a chocolate. (photograph 3).

Brownies also made kites as part of the Anglia Challenge badge (photograph 4).

To conclude the Anglia Challenge, Brownies visited St Mary's Church in the parish to be told by Ken Shrimpton about Gothic Architecture and to look around the building.

In the new term, which starts on 10th April 2008, Brownies are going to work for The Right Now Badges in six categories, which are "Right to be me", "Happy", "Live in peace", "Work together", "Be heard" and "Learn". The badges consist of discussion groups and art and craft.

This will be followed by the Olympia Badge 2008 based on chinese culture.

We will not forget Father's Day and our term will end on 17th July 2008 with a Fish & Chip supper.

There is a waiting list to join the Pack so if girls are interested in joining contact Tawny Owl to get on the waiting list. Phone Tawny Owl on 782134
